When we gather
- Private events with crafts, combat, games, stories, and banquets
- Public displays at sites such as West Stow and Butser Ancient Farm
No prior experience needed, just interest!
The raven flies
Display and competitive fighting with sword, axe, spear, and shield
Tales are told
Play Anglo-Saxon and Viking board games; create a 9th century character in our history-based roleplaying games; retell myths and sagas
The mead-hall fills
Cook with historic ingredients and equipment; feast like a Viking at our banquets
Skills are shared
Carve a wooden spoon, make your own costume, learn braiding, band weaving, leatherwork, weapons repair
Where we are
We have members around the UK but are most active in and around Oxford, with monthly craft sessions and plans to start regular combat training for new members. If you're handy for Oxford, check out our local Facebook and Instagram pages:
